Why? What are the Poles going to do? Unilaterally go in, as I can't see the rest of NATO chomping at the bit to follow that example.

If there was to be a NATO incursion into Belarus then the Poles would spearhead that assault.

That Crimea is already red in that graphic illustrates perfectly how Russia doesn't even consider it as anything other than red.

My wife got a message from her college friend yesterday. They been holidaying in Sevastopol over the last couple of weeks - apparently Crimea is seen as perfectly safe and evidently a relaxing holiday destination.

Question though: Do Russia consider the whole of Donetsk and Zaporozhia oblasts as voted? Because from that graphic there's a lot of non-pink areas.

Reports of close to 5,000 Russian troops completely encircled and trapped in Lyman.
You have to hope that their senior officers do the sensible thing and surrender rather than risk complete annihilation.

I think the west is smelling blood now, this is not going to stop until Russia is chased out of the Ukraine, Putin has gone, and Russia becomes subservient to the west, under the guise of democracy. I’m not sure if this wasn’t the plan all along, and was made known to Putin which instigated the invasion in the first place. How bloody and cataclysmic it becomes is down to the Russian people and their fondness for Vlad

Seen some images going around of a Russian column of both military vehicles and supposedly stolen civilian vehicles looking to break their way out and flee back to Russian controlled territory.
