It's a strange one to work out. Mount a risky underwater operation in the territorial waters of a country approved for Nato membership or...close a few valves.?All the gear no idea springs to mind sometimes with russia.
You can only train so much for genuine war. Good thing about being in nato and having the US as allies their is so many training exercises with lots of forces. Russia rely a lot on themselves to self train. They don’t seem to have learnt their lesson from Afghanistan.
Their under sea warfare capability of cutting cables etc is some of the most sophisticated and well trained in the world. I know for a fact we don’t train or have the capability to put mini subs in the middle of the ocean down to 600 metres deep to cut cables. The Russians do though. They have definitely overloaded resources into certain sections.
Or maybe it was in Swedish territorial waters?People questioning how Russia could have cut a pipe in the middle of an ocean that spans thousands of miles.
Needle in a haystack stuff.
Or maybe it wasn’t?Or maybe it was in Swedish territorial waters?
It was a terrorist attack on innocent civilians going about their normal routines. In the context of this war and this thread no-one is trying to score points, just highlighting the human tragedy bestowed on the Ukranian people by the Russian armed forces.Alternatively speaking for myself my first thought when seeing the news about innocent people being blown to bits trying to visit their families wasn't
"Wonder if I can score points in the Ukraine thread on GoT using this".
Take a break lads you're losing perspective of what actually matters
Took some courage crossing from one side to the other (likely not the first time they've done those journeys either) just to try help out likely older relatives, they deserved so much more than what's happened to them
Poles are itching to be let off the leashBelarus will get banged out if they carry on
I’ve been looking for map that showed how much of each of the territories about to be annexed were actually controlled by Russian forces. Think this one does that but anyone with more info/an English version please correct
I’ll have a tenner on the poles to put them back in their box.Poles are itching to be let off the leash
Why? What are the Poles going to do? Unilaterally go in, as I can't see the rest of NATO chomping at the bit to follow that example.Poles are itching to be let off the leash
