Said many times mate I'm a realist, the people who I listen to most are the guys who understand that. I also fully understand causal action and consequential results - if anything I'm emotionally detached from things - besides what truly matters to me, my family and my very close friends.

Do I give a flying one if country x is above country y in some international pecking order, nope, do I think there's more value in one person's life then another given we are fundamentally the same - nope. Do I think sharing links on either side of any conflict showing 'tweet friendly' stokes, yup it's abhorrent and the people who get off on such are scum.

Am I right now more upset than anything that a neo nazi nutcase just went into a school of my kids age and slaughtered everyone, yup for me that actually does matter more than Ukraine right this second because its closer to home.

That's fair enough but I would argue that the Russian puppet government lead to the revolution in 2014 and Ukraine is far less divided now than it was back then. The Russians have only managed to unify Ukraine.

External threats have a way of doing that.

What is really abjorrent are the UNICEF findings, though a month out of date, that since Russia invaded Ukraine they have been responsible for killing or injuring 1000 children, roughly 5 per day since Russian boots stepped onto Ukrainian ground.

Also, Russias war in Ukraine has forced two-thirds of Ukrainian children to have to flee their homes since the Russians invaded.

Probably more of my hyperbole though.

Here is the reality. Putin decided to invade the Ukraine and condemn thousands of young men and women to their deaths in the process and forced many more to flee. That is a fact, and no amount of pom-pom waving for dear leader and his "special military operation" will change it
