All this mobilization calls, so fecked up. I come from military family (mixed Croat/Serb descent) that for centuries had their family members mobilized into Imperial Habsburg-Austrian armies to fight in their endless wars.
I do wonder how those people felt fighting, killing and dying for their foreign Emperor and for causes they probably didn't believe it.
"Glory of Austria and the Empire" as the propaganda was saying (like that meant anything to Croat, Czech, Pole, Italian, Slovene etc..... dying for not their cause)

Thought about this the other day - NATO should announce that all Russians who want no part in Putin’s war are welcome to help rebuild Ukraine. Offer them a decent wage (gotta be cheaper than launching loads of Javelins and NLAW’s at them).
It will also have the effect of winding Putin rar up.

They could close borders, no? I believe that was what Ukraine done at the start of the war (for all males of certain age).
