She doesn't answer to anyone; that is the problem - Biden for what its worth seems to have tried to get her to cancel, as did regional allies (given the level of person from them she's been greeted by up to this point). Obviously she considered her "legacy" more important than starting a fire in the mother of all tinderboxes, and lets not anyone be surprised by how inept that was. She (along with the rest of the shower like Schumer) should have been disposed of in 2016, but no and so she's been left in post to do this, and to screw up two impeachments (the second of which is in my opinion the greatest peace of incompetence of the 21st century to date).

As for the current administration vs Trump - Trump's ineptitude is still being felt in all these decisions (not doing anything with Russia; messing with China and Iran pushing them further into the orbit with Russia). If anything the lesson here should be to get rid of this cult of the elderly that has seized control of politics.

Politicians need a mandatory retirement age of 65, and to be honest I'd take the vote away from everyone over 65 as well at this point. Many of them are still sound but there is a huge proportion across the West who are repeatedly voting for the destruction of their children and grand-children, and they need to be prevented from doing that.
Fully agree with the second parts, and thanks for the info on Pelosi. I genuinely don't know enough about how American politics work, other than I think both of the last two administrations have been a complete disaster. Anyone sensible knew the Trump one would be, but I feel a lot of people tried to kid themselves with Biden. He just has nothing about him.

Well, he's not wrong like...

People are fighting, and have died, for their homeland. What right does Corbyn - who failed in two elections against the worst Tory government in living memory - or anyone else have to tell them they should give up and try and get a 'peace deal'. You, I and Corbyn and everyone else know full well Putin doesn't want a 'peace deal'.

While I agree with his sentiment - I do, and I think he's a good person - I can also see the flipside.

So yes, maybe he isn't wrong really in what he says, in the grand scheme of things. But it's easy to see how people would be frustrated by hearing it.

If Ukraine was fighting a reasonable energy, sure, I think he'd be on to something more. but they aren't, they're fighting Putin.

Wow, the lunatics have really joined this thread now
When the situation reeks of insanity... guess who may be right. It's an absolute sh!t show there. I fully blame Russia for the invasion and being the cause of this but now China have entered invasion positions there's not so much to sell to Ukraine and they could crumble.

I suspect the nuclear power plant situation and Kosovan flare up are also entering the minds of NATO and its leaders on top of no gas flowing are also pushes to the west to back the @#£% off.

Hi all!
I joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for the fourth month I have been defending Ukraine from russian orcs! We got a cool weapon from Britain - the orcs are afraid to stick their heads out of their hiding places! NLAW my love - burned 1 tank and 2 armored personnel carriers!
I wish Everton victories in the new season! When I have time, I will visit you!
Come on Everton!
Good luck! Be safe.

When even US military strategists are saying this will end in a protracted stalemate for the sake of the civilian population some sort of negotiated peace deal should be being put forward. But then those calling for more weapons to escalate the conflict are comfortable sitting drinking coffee at a desk not hiding in a bomb shelter.

AGAIN..... Putin does not want peace!! If the Yanks (west) did not arm the Ukes the Russians would be raping and looting deep into Ukraine now and would not stop until it was all taken....then where next? What next for the men of Ukraine? It would be hell you buffoon.

Your obsession with blaming everyone but Putin....very strange

Amnesty having a pop now at Ukraine. That's a noticeable shift in stance across the spectrum from total support to starting to criticise.

An extra 8 billion from the EU on the other hand shows that support is still there. I guess it's down to how much the US wants to support the Ukrainians now that China is flaring up.

THey are having a pop yes, but still level the blame firmly at the feet of Russia.

He‘s a gullible idiot. Means well but hasn’t a clue. Lives in his own little bubble utopian world where everyone thinks like he does. Probably a nice man, but keep him away from power and decisions……
Truss will be in Kiev in full battle dress for a photo opportunity within a week of becoming PM. But nowhere near the women and children in the air raid shelters to ask their opinion on fighting to the last man ( woman or child).
