2025/26 Tyler Dibling

He’d be on the pitch more if he offered something different - ie blistering pace/direct running in behind.

For some reason we’ve spent the money on a player that just does the same things we already have on the pitch, only not as well.

He might go on to be a great player for us, but it won’t be in this team, this season.

It is if you move one of them into the middle.
Ndiaye was rubbish in the middle when we tried that, lost everything about what makes him work for us. I imagine the same goes for if we tried Grealish.

Our centre mids are incapable of playing centrally through the lines, so we can get the ball to Ndiaye and Grealish in dangerous positions sometimes out wide. It's why KDH is more of a 'link' player in the middle there, tasked with helping get the ball to those two, because a focal point player there just won't be able to do their thing.

I reckon anyway. I don't know anything about football really.

Charlie Alcaraz says hi.

Dibling was never getting in ahead of Ndiaye or Grealish no matter what he shows in training or the limited game time he’s had so far. Moyes has seemingly picked and settled on his starting 3 supporting whatever “striker” we play.

I think we'll see more of him once Ndiaye goes to the afcon. Then we'll see how much he can offer properly if he maintains a place in the side.

Quite like the play from Moyes.

Knows that the GOT experts would be hyper critical of him even if he did play and play well. So don't play him and let GOT critics grope around with the hypotheticals for a few months

Easier to handle criticisms of the absence of any evidence rather than any evidence

Would rather see alcaraz up top before ndiaye.
Alcaraz has a good header on him for a start, and a decent shot.
Honestly this thought wasn't far from my mind. Charly is technically decent, can strike it with both feet and is solid in the air. I think he would be a good finisher. Whether he offers the ability to function alone in isolation is another thing but never say never. Players like him do succeed there.

But I thought Moyes and everybody were all in agreement on the players we signed?

So if I take your reasoning as true, the conversation went. :
Moyes “ So what does he do ? “
“ The same things we already have on the pitch , only not as well “
Moyes “ Ok , just the player we need, because I don’t have time to improve him I’m busy managing”.

Bizarre, but heh this is Everton .
