2025/26 Tyler Dibling

He’s played 320 minutes in the league at the moment, three and a half games in bits and bats. It currently looks like he’s got no rhythm, little understanding of his teammates and is having a bit of a crisis. As long as he’s being properly supported off the pitch tho, I’m absolutely convinced he’ll turn out to be a fantastic signing for us as the things he does have are things that can’t be learnt or even worked on that much - balance, an appreciation of space, vision etc. Obviously these haven’t been much in evidence in a blue shirt so far, but they will be before too long and everyone will see exactly how good he is. The likes of Dibling and Armstrong are, in my opinion, going to be amongst the best in Europe. It’ll take time tho!

Absolutely ;)

Signing him was one thing but how long it took suggested no one was really sure and it then turns into a panic buy when it was clear hardly anyone was coming through the door. All points to a mess of a summer.
Yup. Shay Given would probably describe it as a "Hol*****t" of a summer window. He'd be right (ish).

Grealish.

He's 11 years older and from a different area and a different upbringing.

Also came through on the left rather than as a 10 if that means much.

If we look at what they both do since Dibling has been given a handful of minutes then both are not exactly direct as they used to be. Both hold the ball and look back and sideways.

I'd loan him out to a championship team this month.....he looks completely lost, and low on confidence...
Let him develop at a lower level, and maybe we might get a decent player in 2 years time

Why do people keeping going on about how much he cost, that's got nothing to do with him, he's a young lad thrust into the spotlight probably far to early, anyone who does not think he's talented are blind or stupid. He's been thrown under the bus twice by moyes, his confidence is low,he's not a winger he has not got the pace, he's going to develop into a really good player. He's 19, if he was in his early twenties it would be different. Its's a new environment give him a chance, barry and beto are utter dog dirt but are given hero's welcomes.

There has to be a reason we paid so much for him.

The reason people go on about how much he cost, is because you would expect so much more for the money…..simples

Talent or no talent, this was a massive mistake at this current time. We were in need of ready made players, with an eye for young recruitment further down the line.
We didn't exactly beat away any competition to sign Dibling or Barry, and that tells its own story.

I don't really agree with that. We're clearly good enough to avoid relegation this year, while not being good or consistent enough to qualify for Europe. If that isn't the time to buy and develop younger players, I'm not sure when is.

Whether this manager is the best person to oversee that development - and whether we're patient enough as a fan base - probably not tbh.

Take the point about the competition though. Weren't many in a rush to sign them and that's probably because there's so much development to do.

Apparently Spurs and a couple of German sides enquired 12months ago and thats where the £100mil came from.

Very highly rated by all. Until apparently he joined us.
