2025/26 Tyler Dibling

But, but he's only nineteen, he's away from his home, he'll come good in time, we're not giving him a chance. We pay North of £40m to find that out.
Shocking signing at the best of times, when we need a player who will grab the ball and run with the fecker.
Putting it into perspective, we bid for at least 3 other right wingers in the summer and Iliman is our first choice.
Pace would be great be we can’t knock players for being slow, it’s the committee that chose him, knowing his skills/limitations.

When will people wake up - all on Moyes this lad, the crowd moaning and groaning every time he makes a mistake doesn’t help either.

Seen glimpses in the limited game time he’s had that he should have been playing more, if not to play himself into some kind of form, but we get people being happy with Dwight being picked because he “runs about”.

Should've been playing more?? I've seen from his playing time why he hasn't been playing more.

He's crap, he doesn't beat a man, doesn't put a cross in, no goal threat, easy to defend against and worse than all that he doesn't looked arsed.

I'm not sure how it's unfair to criticise when he plays like that

And multiple things can be true at the same time and usually are. Moyes hasn't used him properly at times this season and his minutes have been limited. So yes he needs to be coached properly.

But in terms of intensity, energy, quality, all those key factors, today was an incredibly poor performance from him. He's nit going to get the benefit of the doubt, and he's ultimately not going to make it at Everton, unless he starts working hard for the team and trying to get involved in the final third. He had a natural right back today but was still dreadful.

I have big concerns so far with this piece of recruitment. Moyes can do more but the player needs to massively improve too.

Sat in a different part of the pitch today different to my season ticket seat. He looks very lazy and for the limited times I have seen him I can't honestly see what hes good at. His stats at Southampton wasnt anything special. I cant even remember him sticking out when they played us. Hope he proves me wrong in time but he looks a massive waste of 45 million. Jack Harrison was useless but atleast he put effort in. Dibling doesn't look bothered. Got to give him time though thats the main thing. Bale wasnt great his first few years at Spurs. So maybe he will come good in time but his attitude on the pitch needs a big improvement for starters.

Moyes the one telling him to jog about everywhere, duck out of challenges, not track his runners and generally just not look remotely arsed then?

Can blame Moyes for his in possession stuff all you want but the lad isn’t applying himself whatsoever.

For everyone who is somehow trying to blame Moyes for his attitude and application can you please explain to me how his ‘effort’ was even remotely acceptable today?!

Maybe it’s only something you see if you’re at the actual match but the lad barely breaks into a jog.

That needs sorting before anything else, you simply can’t play top level football at walking pace like this.

That moment just before he came off where he tried to walk around four of their players and lost it (then threw his arms up - defeatedly) summed it up for me there.

Someone needs to get in his ear about applying himself.
100% correct. I can accept at 19 he isn't the finished article but attitude and lack of effort is down to him.

Palace are throwing a 16 year old into European games, and he did well. Probably ultra excited the lad and couldn’t wait to show what he could do. Looked adventurous and confident today too.

But somehow Dibling has to mature like a fine cheese, and will magically be “ready” after an as yet indeterminate amount of time.

He was pretty decent for 2 games in a row last month, and the Forest game should have been watershed, fighting with his teammates. But when he is having a poor game, his effort levels are such that he will get ZERO slack from Evertonians.

Best I can say is that from minute one of his games, it all looks so joyless for him. Yes the pressure has ramped up for him. But plenty of teams are putting players 2 and even 3 years younger than him into PL games, and they look like they need to be calmed down rather than gee’d up.

Something very wrong either with his contentment being here, or his attitude.
