These days a bid is usually the last thing to go in mate, as both clubs have already negotiated and know what it takes to get the deal done - its why im not wholly convinced around the reporting of this.

The dynamics of this deal are odd. if as many believe what is being reported is accurate.
 

I mean let's have it right, they can ask for whatever they want. Let's not get all like United fans last year getting furious because we wouldn't bend over for them and give them Branthwaite for what they thought was a fair price. I think it's too much for us to be paying, but if they don't want to accept what we've offered then fair enough.
I think most people have acknowledged that Southampton can ask for whatever they want, he's there player
