Watching an full Steptoe and son box set -1961 onwards from the comedy playhouse pilot episode right through to the films - in an episode the ECC comes market was mentioned and a maybe tunnel - The old man states the ECC market is somewhere in London, and scared the rag & boneman from Europe would pour into London - Harold the younger son states don't be stupid it will only be for big business - how topicallol
Brilliant comedy acting at his best the episode where the old man is in the tin bath eating picked onions out of a massive jar they fall into his soapy bath ,and he try's to put them back into his jar , and Harold catches him - brilliant stuff!lol

My kids watched the episode where they split the house in half the other day and absolutely loved it. They love Dad's Army too.

Genuinely top class comedy writing, with plenty of subtext.

For me one of the greatest British comedies ever, Wilfred Brambell couldn't have been more removed from the character he played, a well spoken articulate person and played Albert to perfection.

My favourite is the funeral one; everybody is eying up the valuables - can't wait to get back after the funeral to get their hand on them...the prize piece is a small jug about 3" high..
They get back and the house has been cleared - empty, just the floorboards...with no valuables everybody leave sharpish
Just Albert and young Harold, who is bemoaning their losses, Albert says nothing, just lifts his bowler hat to reveal the jug.

Not even got that far yet there are masses of series on my link pm me if you want it, I was only 7 when it first started on comedy playhouse with my late father he stated it would be a good series!
It was brilliant they must have wrote them weekly three series per year?

Just finished this - Wayward Pines season one.

Taken from the books of the same name.

Collaboration between M.Night Shymalan and the Duffer brothers ( who did Stranger Things )

If you liked Stranger Things and post apocolyptic stuff you'll like this.

Matt Dillon, plays an FBI agent, who wakes from a car crash, in a strange town that he can't escape from - Wayward Pines.

Not as good as Stranger Things, but still half decent.
