TV Series

I know loads of you watch The Wire, I'm on my 4th time watching it all the way through again and I just clocked something I never saw before.

Major Rawls is gay. In season 3 when Brother Mouzone shows up again looking for Omar he sends his fat mate into the gay bar to ask around about Omar, before leaving the bar after thinking he was going to get chatted up the camera pans and shows Rawls sitting having a drink.

On my second watch of the full series, also on season three. I remember that scene from last time too - just casually thrown in and never referred to again. There are all sorts of little teases and dead ends throughout the series - like what exactly was the shady business Cedric was involved in back in the Eastern District?

I think there's another scene where there is some graffiti in a similar vein about Rawles. I was surprised as well that it didn't develop into something more important. Says a lot about the series, though, that they'd drop something like that in and then just leave it.

Does anyone remember Branded starring Chuck Connors? If so, any idea when it aired on British TV?
I was talking about it in work today and no-one had heard of it. Then again, I am an old git.

So, finished season 1 of 'The Expanse', well worth the watch!
Season endings, don't you just love them?!

I know a few people on here like it but, @Efcjake did you say you'd started watching season 2? It's not on netflix here yet?

The Expanse is awesome!

I have started watching season 2, and it sucks as we are watching week to week. The books are pretty decent as well!

How far through the season is it and is it on Netflix?

I always get disappointed when I've read the book and then watch the film/tv version and vice versa. How does this one adapt?

No it won't be on Netflix a while yet, the season just started airing this side of the water a month or so ago. I love the books and this season has been as good as the last one.

If you want send me a PM and I can give you links to watch them now.

Texted a mate about it this morning as it just caught me off guard on the 4th time round. He was saying they had more than that scene but nothing I can remember or see online.

So from what I understand is Netflix have bought the rights to produce the show, but distribution agreements were already in place for at least season 2.

That could be completely balls though.....just remember reading something to that effect somewhere.

I am only halfway through the first book, and while obviously some differences, it seems to follow along.

It is one of the most true-to-book adaptations I've ever seen. As far as I was aware, it was SyFy channel producing it and distributing it in North America (Why I can't get it on Netflix in Canada) and Netflix distributing it for outside of the North American market. I don't think Netflix has put anything towards production, I hope they do though because SyFy isn't a big money network and the books get better and bigger so the series will have to also. They've done a fantastic job so far.

I am decrepit enough to remember watching it. Chuck Connors and the walk of shame.

Always find it a bit weird the way things are distributed either side of the pond. It's not on SyFy over here but Netflix market it as a 'Netflix Original Series'.

Anyway, can't wait for the next season but, I'll give it a couple of weeks to let the suspense get the better of me, before I ask for that link. If I haven't give me a nudge.

Edit: Forgot to say thanks for the offer.
