'last kingdom' back last night, really does move at breackneck speed.. makes you realise how much padding alot of modern tv shows have...
Yes it was good but a bit muddled in places, not as smooth as the first series - still shows great promise though my son reckons it more historically correct than The Vikings - it was a great watch the last time very enjoyable.

Definitely more historically accurate than Vikings, that show is all over the map mixing and matching 8th/9th/10th century Vikings into the plot and changing family relationships.


The Last Kingdom is based on a book series written by Bernard Cornwell who was an actual history professor, the entire series (and every other one he writes) just uses the main character as the readers' eyes for the major battles of the conflict.
