So Lukuka loan fee is 3 million, and Moses is only 1 million, someone telling porkers. Anyway when he scoring, I wont be arsed about his loan fee.

Time will tell, but this is the best I've felt since John Moores took over and we bought Alex Parker, Bobby Collins and Roy Vernon.

That launched one of the most spectacular eras in Everton's history. What do you think. Steve Wigan?

Look, loans aren't perfect but I don't think Barry will be going back to City and with the left over money and TV money we might be able to make Lukaku permanent.

At last another forum member who knows of Everton's history stretching back into the 60's.

Roy Vernon in cash terms these days would be a Ronaoldo, only ever seen him miss one penalty out of dozens.

I spoke to a fellow Everton fan in my local Tesco up here in Scotland today. We both agreed that although we lost the big Fella, we didn't lose Baines, who we both thought was a much more influential player for the team as a whole.

Everyone has a different opinion on players, but having seen McCarthy play against my own team up here and watched his development at Wigan, I genuinely believe he could turn out to be a star for us.

I can't wait to get back down to see this years team, assuming Morton aren't playing that day!!!

27 million for fellaini is beginning to look like one of the best deals we've ever done. Unless your gonna play long balls all day he is a very ordinary player. I know people will say he had some great games for us - which he had when we played to his strengths- but I honestly think he would struggle to make our current midfield in the system we are playing

Spot on. He looked average early season for us in RM setup. Moyes was a perfect fit for Fellaini, and setup the team to play to his strenghts last season. His value was worth more to us than his role in the team would of been this season. Utd are different financially and can afford to have a player like Fellaini not playing every week.

He's still a very good player but the deal was best for all 3 parties.
