really? we are going to give away our best player at our weakest position for a mediocre striker who needs wingers to get him the ball.

Got to love these ridiculous articles.

Lets see....(off the top of my head).....Southampton, the [Poor language removed], Portsmouth and Spurs.

That being said, he does seem to score goals where ever he goes.....not gonna happen like, and never in a squillion years for Pienaar.

Are you kidding? There's nothing that compares to owning your own giraffe.

I would say he scores a lot more with his feet than his head, he's acutally got a pretty average header on him, he just wins more cos of his height.
Bit like Dunc, a lot better with his feet than people give him credit for, and used wrongly by most teams (I remember when he was at Pompey with Defoe up front they both scored a lot of goals together because Pompey played an attacking on the ground game).
But he can't play up front by himself, and he definately can't play on the wing, which is where it is abundantly clear we have nobody specialised for the role minus Pienaar.

Erm...
I quite like him, is that so wrong? He is a deserved England international who scores goals. He does exactly what he says on the tin. I just dont think he would want to come to us, plus he must be on top wages etc.
