I am as gutted as the next fan with today's results. They have been woeful, even though we got a point away from home.

The key is to be ready to smash everyone come August. Sort the squad out and get the top class buys in early doors.

No problem with that, but liking posts saying we won't get top 4 is really odd. Why would anyone like that we aren't getting top 4?

The only bit I liked was next season we will be ready.
This was always a transitional one once the summer window was botched.
New manager has had time to know what he has and what we need.

Today has been as vibrant as the weather though.

Even next season is too soon to expect us to be ready. 14/15 and 15/16 have given the 'top 6' a huge advantage in terms of branching away.

I don't like the fact we're not getting top 4. I just liked the post because I agreed with it and didn't want to post the same exact sentiment.

Anyway, no shame in it. It was always going to be a 1% chance and today made it even tougher, mostly because of the results around us. Drawing today wasn't the end of the world.

In one day, we draw and Liverpool and United and Arsenal all win and the insanity of this top four stuff is hammered home.

I think most people knew that, even more than us getting results, top four would only happen if three of the top six had awful endings to the season, which was pretty unlikely.

Even top six relies on someone else screwing up big time, but you never know on that one.

Today's results are probably for the best. I was beginning to feel hopeful about going to Anfield, which generally leads to disappointment. Now I can be fearful again.

I think one will after they are sure they have no chance of a CL place. They won't want a EL spot as a dubious consolation.
