Top Four Possibility

Man Utd will be top 3 comfortably after those 5. Liverpool are our target.

At least 3 of those games i can see United dropping points in given that they have struggled badly against teams that have 'parked' the bus against them all season.

City already have a 4 point gap and better goal difference over them and sit in third, there next 5 are against Bournemouth (a), Sunderland (a), Stoke (h), Liverpool (h), Arsenal (a).

Don't see United making up 5 points to catch city in third over the next 5 mate - if they do then City will be in absolute freefall

Think we could catch one or two if they drop form badly but getting top four would require near perfect form. I don't see it.

Ideally what you need is City, Chelsea and Spurs to basically win all there head to head games against the rest and for us to take points from both those games (Spurs & Chelsea) (which given Chelsea will almost certain be already champions when we host them at Goodison could see us get a good result there)

We do that and don't lose any of the head to heads aginst the other 3 then we have a very good chance - without requiring anything but us winning the games on paper we should be winning.

Still a very very tough ask like, but will show us how far along we are on what Koeman wants

Sorry mate I mistyped. Meant top 4. I don't see us getting there. Six looks a tall order in fact.

Anything is possible if we get on a winning run, but I think our away form just isn't good enough to win the games we need.

We'd realistically need to get 7 points from the games against Spurs/RS/ManU to have any chance.

Ongoing momentum and no distractions....
everything is possible.

But even the seventh place trophy might bring us euro place...thats a positive

Love the enthusiasm, but top 4 is out of our reach this year. A strong finish could see us 5th or, most likely, 6th which would be a strong league season considering where we were. Great springboard for next year, though progress in the cups will be essential

I see a dilemma for Koeman: get top 6 this season - which given that at least one of those above us will know at some point they won't be getting a CL spot and they won't want the BS EL headache and so won't be arsed about being caught - seems on, then that ups the task for next season...and with a draining EL campaign to endure.

Pretty much the pit that Martinez stumbled down into.

Hmmmm.

We'd have to manage the squad much better next time round, but I think it's absolutely vital that we get into Europe this season.
