I assume you know that qatars history of human rights etc is a lot worse than the knobhead trumps, thats my point

Yes, thats without doubt. However the Qatari regime have no real links to Tommy Robinson in any way do they? I'm not sure protests or lack of can really be used as much of a measurement for public opinion in this case. (The Bahrain government has an even worse record by the way, not that the MSM will tell you that though, in their disgraceful hysteria re Hezbollah/Iran who apparently are the only people killing people in a regional war).

I know that, but why protest against a buffoon like trump and welcome the qatari emir, i dont get it

I'm not sure people welcomed Emir mate! I remember when the government (the Tories) welcomed the Saudi royalty and was appalled.

People expect better from America though, it is a much bigger degradation. It is also a much bigger, more important visit from a more powerful country so I suppose people's focus will reflect that?

In my view protesting against one is pretty much protesting against the other, they are all on the same side really.

He basically said the state is not made up of 1 class/group of people, but a reflection of the class antagonisms that already exist. While there might be an overall goal to uphold capitalism, there are tensions within that, and at different moments those tensions swing in different directions.

For the sake of Tommy Robinson, he clearly has some support within elements of the state but there's also a motivation to oppose him.

A political pawn, given just enough media attention to put him in the public eye and ruffle some feathers and civil unrest. A distraction, diversion from where the real authority and balls ups are taking shape..

One thing he did highlight was touched on slightly in the labour thread in the idea of universal income, but, like the minimum wage/living wage ideas, in the immediacy they seem beneficial but given a short span of time they become obsolete and used by the corporations as a maximum amount to pay by meeting a lawful minimum while the decreasing vacancies through automation keep the demand for employment extremely high and beyond competitive.

I didn't mean to seem snarky earlier, and I tend to exaggerate (on here at least) for effect. But who, specifically, are you actually talking about above? Your sentence doesn't really have a subject. Whose pawn is he? Who decides how much media attention to give him, and in order to suit whose agenda? Who crafts and sets all these plans in motion? And how? I mean, specifically?

Theyre all in the same bed, i havent much faith in politicians either especially the useless c- - ts over here

In this instance Yaxley. He is a pawn of the system. The system just is. It doesn't have a leader, it is privilige, it is fear of being one of them instead of one of us, on their terms. The people who play the system gain advantages, the media will decide how some little scrote is portrayed against a man fighting racism for 40 years.
The plan? You'd have to go back, way, way back to the understanding of fear and the formenting of first ancestral and familial 'deities', ancestor worship and the power of 'magic' of knowledge.
The crafts? Mutual preservation, reciprocal favours. Do you believe Murdoch was influential in getting Blair to No. 10? Did he do it for nothing.
There's a scene in the film JFK where Johnson tells the generals 'get me elected and I'll give you your godamn war', that in a sentence encapsulates the system.
There are two layers, those who play it, and those who play along. While we play along they can play the game, we stop playing, there is no game.

9 minutes on - sums them up. Thick, proper braindead, racist beauts, the lot of them.

They have no 'concerns' to be addressed; they should simply be treated with disdain.

It’s genuinely worrying though that people can be that manipulated . Saying She’ll believe what she’s been told until it’s proved not to be true , the bloke has literally just told you seconds before It’s not true because it isn’t and she asks something why would I be told that ? As if the answer isn’t obvious .

This is the world though people just form opinions based on Facebook or what some bloke tells them , they don’t test themselves , read up on subjects, bother to learn about things or ever really challenge their brains . Maybe we just didn't see it but I’m sure in the past huge numbers of people weren’t that stupid , then again they probably were they just weren’t in my face ranting about their stupidity.
