Give him a break, he’s a 19 year old kid who has been massively overrated by our fans because sections of them are desperate for a new local wonder kid. He has talent but he’s going to have plenty of shocking/poor matches at this age playing in a team as bad as ours.

Bournemouth at home, he created our first goal with a brilliant disguised pass to Niasse and was heavily involved in the creation of the second goal, as well as being the catalyst for our improved second half performance in that game.

He is one of the few decent players of 2017, and he's only 19. I'd personally be quicker to criticize the responsibility avoiding, monstrous wage earning senior players, but not Davies. Davies deserves patience and support.

Oh he has my support no doubt. But he's got too much ability to be letting his basic standards fall as badly as they did last night. He needs to be more consistent but I've every faith.

I don't think he was that bad last night. He tailed off in the second half, but Beni was far poorer on the ball throughout the game. I love his go to move where he drags the defender to him then bursts and cuts past the halfway line. If we could get some more decent movement in front of him, we might see him hit one of his trademark through balls. With Niasse banned, Mirallas can't be the only one with decent movement.

Can everyone just fall in line. He is a young lad with a tremendous future. We need to support him as he develops over the next three years.
At this point if he shows a drop in form at any period we start booing, call him a fraud and chase him out of town with pitch forks.
It’s the modern way things are done.

It’s what some of our fans do. It’s completely weird. It’s like if a young player isn’t Messi they just wrote him off completely. They expect every prospect from the academy to be England’s best player as a teenager like Rooney was.

If we keep treating him like this he will push for a move like Barkley supposedly has and who blames him? He is going to be great player for Everton, at the moment every single player is having problems yet a 19 year old who is still learning is the scape goat bang out of order

Very impressed with him and Kenny.

His biggest strength is his intelligence, he always picks the right pass or run - just doesn't always execute it perfectly. But that's the easy part and will come in time, having the brain is what sets him apart. Think if we get behind him and he continues to get a run of games alongside Rooney, he'll develop into an excellent player.

He's working hard and regardless of how abysmal we've been this season he still looks for the ball and drives forward with it.

Much better than Schneiderlin today. But for a CM his passing is still atrocious and without that he adds nothing much creatively. Needs to learn lots of things.
