Thought Lampard had a reputation for bringing young players on from his time at Chelsea. Yet in the league cup he chose not to give Tom, Price, Welch and Stan Mills a chance, instead playing a load of players we know from personal experience aren’t good enough.
Cannon showed in that 15 minutes far more than Maupay did. Had he been given an opportunity on Tuesday he could have made a case for a start today. Missed opportunity.

Good on him for making an impact. If we had a game next week I'd have started him. This definitely says more about the failings of Maupay but still.
