I know he was up against some terrible defending, but I like how he gets his shots off early, before the keeper can set himself. Looks a prospect, just needs a run of games to give him a chance.

Evan Ferguson made his senior debut ar 14. He's physically years ahead of his peers. Its a shame Cannon has ditched Ireland, they could've been a decent pair.

I think a relatively poor academy is the reason for not giving them game time and also blowing our brains buying players hopefully now we will have more focus on the academy and trying to get players into the first team for some kind of game time or when we offer them out on loan we don’t them recall them hampering any development they was having by sitting on the bench and having the life sucked out of you by seeing Maupay getting on in front of you.
Sadly seems to be another Irish lad groomed then radicalised by the FA.
We have season tickets at work for Preston as we're close by. Watched him a lot this season. He's no where near Premier League level yet. Another year in the Championship will help him. Good lad though. Met him at the end of season dinner as we sponsored a player too.

I'm not sure on that one tho, he did brilliant at a lower level. until you see him with better quality around him, you cant really judge his level.
Look at Gordon when he was there, rarely got a taste of any action and we've just made 45m on him..
Cannon looks a player that's confident enough in his own ability to take first time shots and read the game well enough to always be in the right position at the right time.
I obviously can't say one way or the other, but I do have good hopes for the lad.
He's generally good all round, but I think a level below what we need!

There are signs that with the right development he can become a really good player, but we haven't done that to anyone properly since probably Stones & Barkley
