Classic All-English final. The entire Northern clubs' fans will support Spurs whereas the Southern clubs' fans support Liverpool.

Maybe, but no way should we be behind them, at the very least we should be comfortably 7th, Leicester are ok and wolves have done well but tbh we are better than them, if it wasn’t for Martinez mk2 we would be looking forward to Europe next season.

I don't want to turn this thread into a debate about Silva, but let's remember that he inherited an utterly unbalanced squad filled with overpaid dead wood. Of the six buys - Digne, Mina, Zouma, Gomes, Richarlison, Bernard, I'd say five have been at the very least qualified successes, which gives room for some optimism.

Funny, everyone was saying that before the 95 FA Cup final.
We were pretty lucky on that day, they had a couple of big players missing. But we had steel and determination that’s what won the game. Mane and salah will be very hard to contain in that game and I think Kane coming back in will hinder spurs, it will be solely back on him to get the goals.

Tottenham are some of the biggest bottlers in a league where Liverpool have only lost once, and their goalkeeper and full-backs are clowns. I don't understand how anyone could have an ounce of faith in them.

Ajax would be massive underdogs, but they have young, athletic players that have shown an ability to go out and execute a game plan. Tottenham are just another gang of plodders that won't have the legs to cope with Liverpool's bullying pressing game.

I'm pleased its an all prem final and possibly all four finalists in both European competitions.

Ajax looked far to naive defensively to trouble Liverpool and tbf Spurs on their form since the City games are struggling to beat anyone, West Ham and Bournemouth included but still beat Ajax.

They were very lucky they had only Ajax tonight but Liverpool are a class above either team.

If Kane is fit they have a small chance as he improves Spurs so much from the side that played Ajax, and they were competitive and perhaps should have won at Anfield recently.

So there is some encouragement there, but i do think Spurs need their injured stars back, althpugh Harry Winks looks like no chance, and only then could they hope to be a bigger challenge to Liverpool. One bonus is that Dele Ali looked far better than he has recently.

But 7th should have easily been achieved, wolves have done ok but nothing that special.

Difference between us and spurs, they got the Bale money and spent it at first it didn’t pay off but they stuck with most of the players they bought in. We have thrown similar money around, lost out financially on players chopped and changed managers and look where we are mighty 8th if we are lucky. They had the bonus of Kane coming through but we had Lukaku who we couldn’t keep. We have basically wasted a good 3 years and are no further forward. Spurs had a plan and stuck to it, it doesn’t look like we ever really had a plan. That’s why I feel spurs winning would really be a kick in the teeth for us as it will just cement how unorganised we have really been with our plans. We are the brexit of football.
