86 years of hurt between them.... Champions league....yeah right. The Champions League final really is the game of champions:
The RS last won the league 28 years ago and Spurs 58 years ago.
Both worthy champions
We can’t even get ahead of the rubbish teams from 7th done, so it probably doesn’t matter to us one bit. We will be back to square one at Christmas with another new manager. Our latest results haven’t convinced me Silva is the right man for the job one bit.I’ll settle for Spurs pulling further away from us, if I am honest with you![]()
The funny thing is we are taking about them teams, at least they have made progress over the years to get to finals, CL etc, we can’t even beat wolves to 7th. We have a manager in charge that will never take us anywhere near where these two have taken there teams. So tbh who cares who wins they are both light years ahead of us.
If them lot are on form and they play there game at there fast pace spurs won’t be able to deal with that at the back.A lot tougher game for them now against spurs,it’s gonna be a very tight final and the odd goal will decide it.
Does make you think a bit though doesn’t it, I mean when was the last time we produced a moment like what we’ve seen in the past two days? Bayern Munich maybe?
Maybe, but no way should we be behind them, at the very least we should be comfortably 7th, Leicester are ok and wolves have done well but tbh we are better than them, if it wasn’t for Martinez mk2 we would be looking forward to Europe next season.Wolves have finished ahead of us once in the last how many years? 35? 40?
we nearly have the team to do it Dan...Eton Dom, Hank, Prince and Sandro are a strike force than can take us all the way...maybe next season. Something in my water tells me the 7th place trophy might just be ours!!
What did she say?

What ever the fans want the team can’t get Europe, this season was a perfect chance to get 7th, I even think with our current squad Big Sam would have got us there. Silva had let us down for big parts of the season the decent run doesn’t excuse the rubbish that went before, not for me anyway. It’s reached a point now where for a large portion of the fan base our biggest games of the season don’t even involve us... it’s sad.
This is why I can’t get on board with the coping mechanism of “it means nothing unless you win it”. It’s absolute nonsense. If that was truly the case the majority of football clubs should have folded years ago. We seemed to have stopped valuing the journey, valuing the moments. It’s cheesy but it’s true- if you’re not prepared to fail, then don’t bother trying. On a basic level, fans need nights to remember. Otherwise what’s the point? That’s why anyone who wants us to keep skipping Europa is bonkers.
