And ability, seemingly.
This is what I mean though, he's literally the first coach to get a PL job on his merit as a coach (there was weird stuff when they gave Bob Bradley the Swansea job) and after 11 games every American coach stinks.

And beyond that it was like 1 loss before the jokes started rolling out. You're just fighting a losing battle and I don't really see the point.

I couldn't give a toss where any manager is from, if they're delivering then they're a good manager.

Marsch has spent a fair bit this summer and his team is in the relegation zone, if Marsch was from Spain would you be defending him so vehemently?
Nope, I don't think so.

Yeah I gotcha. At least he went to Europe, learned as an assistant with Rangnick rather than taking the easy MLS gravy train.
Many US coaches follow the Bruce Arena model and aren’t willing to leave the US to expand their knowledge

If people were calling him El Matador or some stupid nickname and saying glad we have Lampard instead I would indeed point out that Leeds have been a wee bit unlucky and will probably turn it around enough to not worry about relegation by staying the course. But people wouldn't be doing that right? Because Spain is a country you have to respect in this sport.

I mean you're American, you won't find many bad words on here about Donovan/Howard or even McBride who did a decent enough job.
Why do you think Evertonians are instantly dismissive of an American manager? I remember the job he did with Salzburg and thought he looked a very interesting proposition, the reality of it, thus far I hasten to add, is that he's struggling.
There's nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade, you need to work on that chip on your shoulder.
