If people were calling him El Matador or some stupid nickname and saying glad we have Lampard instead I would indeed point out that Leeds have been a wee bit unlucky and will probably turn it around enough to not worry about relegation by staying the course. But people wouldn't be doing that right? Because Spain is a country you have to respect in this sport.

If I read this right you'd rather have Jesse Marsch than Frank Lampard?

I mean you're American, you won't find many bad words on here about Donovan/Howard or even McBride who did a decent enough job.
Why do you think Evertonians are instantly dismissive of an American manager? I remember the job he did with Salzburg and thought he looked a very interesting proposition, the reality of it, thus far I hasten to add, is that he's struggling.
There's nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade, you need to work on that chip on your shoulder.
It's not that he's struggling, he is, it's that he's being mocked for things that aren't just bad football. If you can't really register that I'm not sure there's anything to discuss.

Prosecution rests, your honour.
We play in about 24 hours so I'm mostly going to wait here but at this precise moment I still think we're going to have a light bulb moment for a lot of people this season where they discover the manager isn't all that good.

Now if we show up and outplay a team away from Goodison for more or less the first time in his tenure I will be a bit more optimistic. So let's wait these 24 hours.

Of course there's going to be comparisons with Ted Lasso etc, that's the nature of football fans.
Of course I can register it, I'm not some yellow-toothed Englishman ranting about our tea getting flung into the Boston harbor.
Don't get so precious, he can fight his own battles, most notably by turning around Leeds fortunes.

Whereas Jesse Marcsch hasn't won a game of football in 3 prime ministers.

I think it spills into media and as much as that shouldn't matter it does
