Keep me right here as my ignorance had me always believing you couldnt be offside when the ball was cut back (realise now i was wrong)
However, everywhere i read states that you cannot be offside from a corner as it is impossible, surely if the ball is placed at the outside of the corner arc and the attackers knee/shoulder/head etc is on the goal line, then the attacker could be offside?
Previously people couldve argued that this was too fine a margin to be ruled offside but given they now call off by the width of a big toe, surely the width of the corner arc is enough.
On that basis there could be offsides every weekend that have never been looked into by Var?
