But even ignoring these and accepting we'd want more from Illy than Tim going up front anyway, Tim's passing, movement, forward play need to improve.

He's then a very good player for us, as opposed to a squad filler, blocking defensive unit. Everyone benefits if he does that both ends of the pitch

He's got time on his side and we have other bigger priorities to improve ( e.g. FBs) so Moyes might well give him the run of games to improve.
