2025/26 Thierno Barry

Fully expect the club to come out with a PR exercise for him tomorrow. An interview about how he loves the club and the fans.

Cant be arsed with him though, he’s been crap since day one. Bundling one in with his backside occasionally isn’t enough.

I was stood next to the group of black fans that were attacked. I was told that they were family/friends of our players before KO.... they looked like 2 or three different family groups, but they may have all been together. I didn't see any of them celebrate the goals (but there were a couple behind too, so I could've missed it), but one of them made the stupid decision to film the ground as Arsenal celebrated the goal, and everyone around reacted. The 3 next to me (looked like a man and wife with teenage son) looked pretty scared tbh.... amd there were a few racist shouts too. I managed to calm the loons trying to get to them in our row, but it was coming from all around by then.... and the black lads further along were having to defend themselves from behind and in front.... so it quickly began to escalate a bit. Stewards and police started to intervene and it got dragged further along the row. The few remaining near me waited for it to calm down before leaving. Not very pleasant tbh. I'm assuming that they may have been his family/friends.... seemed to be a mixture of accents.

I've no idea if any were Arsenal fans Tbh, but I can't say anything really, I've sat with home fans all over the place and mostly got away with it. Wasn't pleasant seeing the rascist stuff and the family group looking terrified though.
That's really sad to hear. I thought we were done with that kind of thing now (racist abuse), and if that's why it kicked off then any fans involved should get life bans.

Barry is still a bell though, for not telling his friends and family that they were sitting among some, um, "passionate" fans. If it's true that they were wearing Arsenal shirts then he's an even bigger bell and needs to apologise to both his friends/family, and the wider Everton fan base.

I've been in many Everton away ends and, while it's a lot more fun than being at a home game, there are also some absolute knuckle-draggers who are deeply embarrassing when they've had a few pints.

He looks like a competition winner at best.
Whoever scouted and sanctioned this needs launching from the club. There is a huge world to scout from and we decided that this guy should be Everton's new striker! I mean wowzers wtf.

I’ve been in the home end at other teams grounds a few times and even at places like Fulham you know you keep your head down, hide your colours and act respectful.
Going into an away end as passionate as ours and celebrating a last minute goal against us and then filming blues leaving and winding them up? What did they expect would happen?

The English football league is what it is because we have passionate fans who care about their team and if we ever lose that, especially the hardcore away supporters, we lose the game we love.
Very true.

We have strict segregation in the PL for a reason.

Everyone just going to ignore the first hand account from Tom sat right behind it? Who suggests all they did was film the aftermath of the goal. Can't say I'd be surprised if some of the mouthbreathers in our support kicked off just because they weren't behaving exactly like them. The 0-60 on the racist comments to fuel th whole thing is absolutely abhorrent too. Absolutely no suggestion from this first-hand account of any Arsenal colours in display either, but you lot crack on! Everton that!

I've just spoke to a mate who was there and its a little more than just celebrating a goal.

When Dowman scored the 2nd, Everton fans were already making their way out.

Barrys mates were jumping up and down celebrating, then they started recording our fans leaving and were waving at them and taking the p*ss.

Apparently all throughout the game they were shouting when Arsenal had chances and really it was only down to our kind natured tolerant fans that they didn't experience violence a lot sooner.
Extraordinary.

Where were the stewards?

He really is not very good and does not seem to be bothered at all. Hopefully get rid and get someone who can score goals and actually wants to play for the club.

Sad to read that.

I've been in away ends often when I lived in London. QPR,West Ham, Spurs, Charlton,Palace,to name a few and was fortunate to be able to celebrate goals in wins (although we don't get that many sadly)
Never been attacked. Bizzare that forum members think it's okay for that to happen.

People just like to look dead hard on the internet.
