Still needs to be second choice behind a more complete forward IMO.

Wouldn't disagree but again with him you can see very slow progress.

Not sure he's going to improve at the rate that people want, but it's pleasing to see him improving

I suppose youre right, 3 in 4 does seem to suggest that but we know he just isnt a natural goalscorer.

Really starting to believe in this lad. Hes improving every game and has kept scoring at a decent clip since his first goal. if he can get close to 10gosls this season, id call that a great success and a sign our gamble on him might pay off.

Said at half time he was alright when involved in the single touch stuff, obviously it's hard to always play to that nature but think that's the way to play to him

Nah to be honest you're not wrong in that he doesn't make enough good runs, his instinct is lacking in that he sits behind the defender too often and can't time when to get in front of his man. Obviously over the moon with him scoring and can do lots for his confidence to keep improving.

I love the confidence he has to do a finish like that and then celebrate like ‘who me again? But I thought I was crap lads?’

He has so much to improve on to be a good level premier league striker but to be fair to him he has already improved significantly since his first games and if he didn’t have the right attitude in training every day Moyes would happily play Beto instead so he must be putting in the effort every day to work on his game

…it’s a bit of a nonsense post, it’s a football forum and he’s been largely disappointing but I’m sure everybody wants him to be the real deal. Similar with Dibling, they both have a lot to prove but we just want them to do it.
