Do you see the problem with that argument? Even players who stand out at U21 aren’t sure things let alone ones that show nothing. Having said that I remember Rooney having a very poor half for England U18s when he was 16 and he was ripping up the national team not so long after so maybe it was just a one off. Bit unlucky there. People are criticising him inline for all those misses, but he was basically flinging himself at those chances. Let's get it right, DCL's issue is that he cannot finish his dinner when he is through 1-on-1 and there's no evidence of that here.
