Why is the taxpayer funding this? Why is this deemed to be acceptable when looking at the recent Presidential election in the US and also Brexit...clearly most people dont want it.

But you dont get shut of his movement unless you draw the right conclusions and unite under a clear set of principles.

The danger now is that the Democrats rally around and shift rightwards in an effort to pick up more working class votes. That's not where the working class are and it's not why the Democrats lost the election. They lost the election because they didn't maintain working class living standards and they lost their support - and they lost other sections of society too with a rank foreign policy agenda.

Well former democrat Trump (and his team of former democrats) has a massive ego.

I've said it before: the Democrats need to be ready to offer the American people a massive New Deal programme at the end of Trump's second period in office.

It'll always swing back and forth like that in US politics: in essence, New Dealers v anti-New Dealers. The swing of the pendulum will happen again and the Democratic Party will need to have the right cadre of people in place to sell the message in 2029 of fighting discrimination in all its forms and regulating the economy in the public interest.
