Related, I am currently reading Michael Holding's book 'Why we kneel, How we rise' and the general theme of the book is dehumanisation. Just also had a discussion with the wife about it. It has been mentioned a hundred times but it is exactly what Hitler did, he went after 'other' people. She was talking along the lines that Hitler was, obviously, infinitely more intelligent than Trump and played the long game to get into a position where he could be opportunistic and be voted in as a dictator. All Trump has needed to do is spout some nonsense to the idiot America and then scale it up a bit so the grifters take notice as well.
The wording is the same though, the tactic is the same though.
It is troubling times and everyday I don't know if I could hate this man any more than I already do, but then he opens his mouth and there it is.

That is where the book came from. He wanted it to stop there and not talk about it again but other people told him he had something to say and should do it, so he wrote the book and talked to other sports personalities about their experiences with racism. Really good book and so massively eye opening to someone who is not educated fully on the specifics of the history if racism.
As said, I am reading it and a lot of what he is writing about is something we are living in right now, apart from it is now even more widely scoped, according to the latest ramblings of a madman.
