Anyway, minimeltdown over. Just to be serious for a moment, if we were to suddenly come into vast wealth, i'm fairly sure we wouldn't necesarrily become another Man City. For starters, we're pretty sound as a bunch, and I dont think we actually need a massive squad overhaul, just actual replacements to plug the gaping holes in our team

So as this is the takeover thread, can somebody please summarise as to where we stand. As I see it.

1. There were three interested parties, however one has dropped out
2. Can someone who is sauced up then please reveal who these two interested parties are?
3. Qatari Royal family sniffing around, but as yet acording to ITK's have yet to formally enter the ring

Am I on the right line? would welcome a response to my question 2. though

On a serious note, if I knew who the other potentials were, I wouldn't tell a soul until it was very clear its on. We've already seen the pre nepalm on this thread, and we're only at the "talks about talks" stage. It seriously is about being patient and waiting. I suspect that after the BU march we'll learn more titbits from the club as I can't see them not resonding in some way.

Patience though is the key, despite what our Blackburn friend says, we are talking weeks not days at the minimum.

Hahaha. Most likely mate. You can't deny though you have some right belters following you now. It's the sense of entitlement that narks me mostly. I'd like to imagine we wouldn't be like that, but I suppose there would be some who'd be arses about it

Yeah, in hindsight I'd tend to agree with you, frustrating as the situation is, I guess everyone is going to have to sit tight and wait

I've basically been following a potential takeover at Rovers for some time, the Qatari interest came out of the blue and my contact filled me in pretty well on their motives, wealth, etc. I genuinely believed for some time they were going to buy us so became quite heavily invested in gaining info about what was happening.

Now, they're not going to buy Rovers... but since I've invested a lot of time into this I want to follow it to its conclusion. If that means having a chinwag with you fellas along the way then I'm alright with that. Hope that kind of makes sense!
