Did the man city takeover just come right out the blue,as i dont remember even a rumour about it happening,It just seemed to happen all in one day from no were,i could be wrong though.

Just spent time catching up with events, and ultimately can't see anything to suggest a Qatari takeover is within the bounds of reality! Starting to lower my expectations by the day now. I know patience is key, but I don't have it where EFC are concerned. Lets hope there is something/somebody out there to lead us to the promise land. But make it happen soon please!!

Yes it happened right out the blue at the end of a Summer transfer window. I think there was a day or two of the window left and they tried to get Berbatov (and maybe got Robinho?). Anyway, it came out of nowhere. If only that would happen to us!

I recall a certain Thai President being on the run in England whilst tanks surrounded his palace in Bangkok, and wanting a quick sale.

He was a billionaire as well. Remember Sven?

If this happens, it will happen very quickly. I'm talking literally days. These people do not want to wait around and they don't want a long, drawn out process. They want to get in, assess the situation before January and be ready to spend what needs to be spent.

Ok, except Alio and Dutch.

Anyway, minimeltdown over. Just to be serious for a moment, if we were to suddenly come into vast wealth, i'm fairly sure we wouldn't necesarrily become another Man City. For starters, we're pretty sound as a bunch, and I dont think we actually need a massive squad overhaul, just actual replacements to plug the gaping holes in our team

I get all my info from GOT's best member or should I say ex best member , who's now stopped posting for a while because people like you who just say " I don't believe you "

I'll break it down real easy. If Felli doesn't sign an extended contract we will have to sell him anyway to realise the amount we've paid for him, irrespective of any other claims on our finances. Selling Felli is not directly linked to the investment which is why I question your source. Secondly, if you sell in January as opposed to June, you don't realise the full value of your player, so you'd have needed to give me more information. And even if Bluefox knew this, he'd need to be pretty close to the finances to know this type of information, very close.

I don't want the thread closed down, just stopped at the moment because there is no information, and it simply gives opposing sides the opportunity to continue a pointless "dialogue" which yields precisely nothing as everyone's view is already fixed.

Nobodies actually winning.

The more you type, the worse I feel. I don't doubt you're genuine, so thanks for passing on info, but this is our board we're talking about. It's not gonna happen

Excellent news as our board is reknowned for professionalism and a unique ability to move quickly and decisively in the business arena.

So are you saying that they want to buy without going through due process or setting out their plans for the future of the club? I'd be worried that we'd end up like portsmouth in that situation.

As I said, it's a strange way to do business. But they've got the money to do it that way. I think even the Everton board may sit up and say "this is too good to turn down".
