If this happens, it will happen very quickly. I'm talking literally days. These people do not want to wait around and they don't want a long, drawn out process. They want to get in, assess the situation before January and be ready to spend what needs to be spent.

I hope you're right (that it's only days) before we hear if its a goer. Its starting to wear me down. I fear we will be 'overpriced' and drive this perspective buyer away. But, if as we're led to believe, there are other interested parties then all might not be lost. You seem to be ITK, and I've no reason to doubt what you're saying, but my defences are always primed for a let down. Cheers for the info though.

I saw something on twitter earlier tonight from what I think was a reporter stating that she had spoken with the Blackburn owners and they had no idea where the Qatari rumour came from. That they knew nothing about it at all. Will try to dig it out and re post it in a sec.

As I've said previously, they're lying.

The Rovers fans are already against them, can you imagine if they came out and said they'd turned down a bid from actual, legitimate billionaires to buy us? There is no way they will admit that.

An official bid was never lodged for the club, anyway. The Qataris made contact, gave Venky's an idea of what they were offering, and were told "thanks, but no thanks".

I'm absolutely gutted personally, because these people are the real deal. They would have saved our club. Whichever club gets them is going to strike lucky.
