The 100M by Bolt was unbelieveable.

What if he hadn't "pulled up" towards the end to celebrate as he ran through the tape?

One of the American commentators, former Olympian Ato Bolden said he could have run it in a 9.59 to 9.60.

Sick.

Absolutely sick.

He was also slowest to react out of the blocks. If he fine tunes it all he would be rampant, or, would too much tinkering ruin his natural style?

His start is never going to be electrifying - he's 6'5 or something stupid, but his pick up is phenomenal and his leg speed for someone of his stride length is also a bit special. The scary thing is, he's probably far better suited to the 200

he runs a bit poncey though with his toe pointing,a bit like one of those horses in vienna. Also he's nowhere near as "gifted" as Linford, if he had a cock like him then the momentum would've prevented him from slowing down until he got to Tiannamen Square.

He's always been a 200M runner. He just started running the 100M about a year ago. Which is a scary thought.

I read that britain were pumping heaps of money in to sports ahead of the london olympics. I guess we did the same when sydney was on.

oh look , 4 more golds than the convicts....not bad for a bunch of soapdodgers !!! must be that no-one wants to come alongside us cos of the stale sweat an all that. or maybe we are just better.:D

7 golds in 10 events in the cycling, with 12 medals in all. Quite incredible. Hats off to both the riders and the support team. Amazing. Add in the gold/silver for the girls in the road races plus the likelyhood of medals in the BMX and we've dominated the bike races in unbelievable fashion.

20 billion quid isnt it?

...can buy alot of imperial leather for that....

The aussie cyclists just havent performed, but then again who has against the Brits this year. The pressure will be on come London.
