Who do you think are our gold prospects for the rest of the games?

The lass in the bmx race is almost a cert
Good chance in men's flat water canoe
men's triple jump...and I'm hopeful of men and women's 400m
Any others???

I want in (y) :P

But yes, Chris Hoy is a ledge. BBC Sports Personality anyone?.....

Rebecca Adlington for me. Hoy has been at top level for a while, Becky Adlington has smashed the oldest world record on the books (800m freestyle) and has been the first Brit to win 2 Gold medals in the pool for 100 years.

True.

I am extremely biased though being a big cycling fan and thinking that swimming is the most monumentally dull sport both to participate in and watch (y)

I've competed in both cycling and swimming but feel the cyclists have to be rewarded this year.

We've had Cavendish winning 4 stages of the Tour, the most ever by a British rider. We've had Cooke and the other girls dominating the womens tour.

The track team thrashed all comers at both the Worlds and the Olympics.

Adlington has done remarkably well, but the cycling boys and girls rule the world right now and deserve every acolade going.

Personality: Hoy
Team: Mens Pursuit team
Coach: Dave Brailsford

To repeat, they've won 7 out of the 10 events on offer in the Olympics in the veledrome. Simply incredible.

Yup, absolutely amazing performances.

Just a shame Cav and Wiggins couldn't do the business in the Madison this morning but we can't be greedy now can we :P

Puts it into perspective though, the ONLY member of the track cycling team not to have won a medal is Cav, and he was arguably the star of the Tour de France this year.

Excellent stuff and they deserve all the credit they're getting at the moment.

To think Nicole Cooke is a two time Tour de France winner too and Emma Pooley another winner on the senior ladies circuit. Heck we havn't even mentioned Robecca Romero, the only Briton to medal in two seperate events in god knows how long.

Could probably put in a decent bet for Chris Boardman to win the lifetime achievement too after what he did on the bike and now what he's doing designing bikes and equipment for the team.

Why? Why does the best Olympics ever have to be in bloody China and at the wrong time of the day.

Oh well, maybe we can look at doubling our efforts for 2012.

chris hoys 3 golds is the 1st time a brit has got 3 in a games for 100 years, and the sport we did it in then....
single shot deer hunting !!!
bring it back for 2012, single shot chav chase along with 30 sec knife frenzy, our kids would clean up and we'd get rid of a lot of scum in the process.

Well youve got to hand it to the Brits this year.

Good show chaps. I just hope they all pass their tests :P

That Onurogahu or whatever ran an awesome race. And good on you Maclellan for the silver in the 100 Hurdles, the American choked bigtime and she was there to clean up.

Anyone else finding a new appreciation for the female sprinters bootys? Im hypnotised on the rear view super slomo's.

BMX is kicking off today and my prediction : Young Aussie trooper name Kamikaze. Yes, Kamikaze. He changed his name by deed poll.
