it's probably to disguise his real name which will expose him as a not really an aussie.
fact, you can obtain a resident permit and citizenship in australia by being good at a sport.they have a points system to get in based on quals. and experience in the work place which is time consuming and expensive to go through but if you are good at a sport then you can waltz in like matilda.

Yeah, that's all I can stomach apart from the 100m and stuff like this. I actually can't stand the Olympics. One problem for me is that having just moved to Denmark, and only having 2 channels at the moment, they've both been full of what the Danes call: OL. It's really getting on my nerves, particularly because these channels seem to show handball 24/7, which I believe the Danes are quite good at. Oh yeah, and then there was that horse thing when the horses were dancing around like they're on strings. I think Denmark might have got a bronze in that one.

I'll be glad when it's over and TV gets back to all the good stuff. You know, the numerous cop shows and low grade American imports.
