I disagree.

She could have nailed her routine and the Chinese were gonna win it anyway.

We weren't gonna make up the 1.00 point difference on them. Not a chance.

But I'm sure she'll be made the scapegoat for us not winning the gold medal.

On a separate note, anyone here think that all of the Chinese girls are at least 16 years old?

My wife and I pegged that one girl at 12 or 13 easy. No way she's 16. None.

i thought that about the chinese synchronized divers. when you compared them to the german women divers they looked young enough to be their daughters! no way they were 16.

I used to be able to find good Saturday Night Live skits on YouTube but they've taken them all down. Same reason.

there is/was a british gymnast and she has an identical twin, at age 15 because she was doing gymnastics when her sister wasnt it resulted in her being a half foot shorter and over a stone lighter. the rigors on the body, specifically the joints coupled with stringent diet and common injuries means wear and tear on the body results in modorate abnormalities.

Strange thing is, here in Britain at least, gymnasts have a reputation as being pansies when you're young, but look at the guys (and girls) that do it and they're built.
