I'm gutted because I don't know who to root for. I really want Natasha to do well but I want to see Ireland get some golds and Katie Taylor succeed. Kind of disappointed only one of them can get a medal!

If Natasha beats her she'll have really earned her medal, as a scouser I'll certainly be cheering for her but if Taylor wins i'll be happy to see her win the good.

Adams looked brilliant in that fight, top class stuff and great footwork she won that well within herself

Katies going to smash her lad, shes world class. Her Dads English, but we let him go to the fights anyway.

She plays soccer for the Irish ladies as well - in fact i think i may marry her!

You never want to meet the Cubans, that said i wouldnt fancy coming up against an Irish boxer either at ametuer level we're up there with the best nations.

Hes a nice stylish fighter Nevin but id be pleasently surprised to see him get gold. I have higher nhopes for Barnes he looks a really good fighter.

Estrada is the world champ and looks like a pro with all the little tricks (holding on the blindside etc..) , Barnes is certainly a better chance but nevis won't be a pushover

This might be blasphemous but I kinda found the 100m a bit dull. 8 guys that are incredibly full of themselves. 9 seconds of action and Bolt wins. Not really much excitement is there? It was a bit like the womens tennis final. No doubt a decent performance but when someone wins so easily it's hardly exciting. Sport is best when there's rivalry and competition.

yeah, i'm the same, im not a massive fan or anything, it's just it's the showpiece event, creates the most hype and so and so
