This might be blasphemous but I kinda found the 100m a bit dull. 8 guys that are incredibly full of themselves. 9 seconds of action and Bolt wins. Not really much excitement is there? It was a bit like the womens tennis final. No doubt a decent performance but when someone wins so easily it's hardly exciting. Sport is best when there's rivalry and competition.

Think you had to be there Bruce !

Shame but was always the massive favourite to go out today, Adams looked quality before and savannah Marshall on at 330 is a big big favourite at middle. Ogogo & Joshua on at 930 & 1115, Joshua should be comfortable & ogogo performed brilliantly

That was possibly the best fight I've seen all Olympics. I feel sorry for Natasha because she's excellent but that was a cruel draw.

Jesus Christ though, Katie Taylor would batter most of the men. It was like she was boxing in fast forward. Her movement was brilliant and at the drop of a hat she'd put together 6 punch combos in a second. Incredible, and surely a gold for Ireland.

Loved the crowd too. Just boss. Gutted for Natasha but what a fight.

frankly you couldn't get a bet on Taylor ( I think she's 4 time world champ which in amateur is frankly ridiculous as its normally fairly fluid and not much between them) she'll win the gold comfortably I'd think , Natasha was the one women I factored out of the medals but the other two should reach their finals and both are well capable of winning with Marshall the favourite

Very much this. If there was anyone left who didnt think womens' boxing should be in the Olympics they should just show them that fight, it was brilliant.

Incredible boxer. If she was against any other GB fighter I wouldn't of cared for them, but just coz it was the Scouser I wanted Jonas to win, but at least she lost to Taylor, she is amazin
