Certain smells, sayings or pictures conjure up memories. Some good some not so

There is one saying that throughout my lifetime has always preceded negativity.
"Nothing to worry about"

Went to my best mate's funeral yesterday. My little gang of three thrown together in 1963 going to big school now down to little old me.
Usual reflecting of my life and where I went wrong and occasionally right, but above all my mortality brought into focus.
I made the journey over to the Wirral for the graveside service and found it ironic I was back on Merseyside on the day that you know who had an understated award ceremony.
In the short time before heading back home I saw enough of FKWs and houses adorned with tat to give me a timely reminder that as much as I love my birthplace living on the East Coast can have its positives.

Went to my local tonight. As I walked in I noticed four 'auld arses' sat in the corner.
Only after an hour or so did I realise that I remember each and every one of them as nippers when I was in my late teens

I’ve booked my first over 60 cinema ticket , what would have been £14 outing is now £6 as I can get there with my Merseytravel pass.

This is the caption I put beneath the photo of the fire engine outside our house, that I sent to my missus while she was at work.

To be fair I'd put the fire out before they arrived.
