The Oldies Thread

I retired, or more accurately, stopped working, in March to take care of Mrs R. And today, I realised I have done my first "Retired Bloke" thing.

I repotted a shop bought fresh mint plant into a larger pot on the patio wall. I keep looking at it, and I swear it looks happier. @Joey66 reckon it will be ok mate?

Oh, and once Mrs R is well and strong enough to walk, kill me. Ta.

I think that is more of a "bored bloke" thing mate. I retired in 2011 and I have never yet felt the need to re-pot my mint

(unless it's a euphamism?)

They grow like weeds no problems, if you ever plant it in your garden keep it in a large pot permanently, or they spread everywhere.....
They root easy from stem cuttings next Spring on the windowsill not on full sun place a clear bin bag over the pot with a cane to support the bag off the leaves ....
I have a lovely Chocolate mint they have a big Genus plus varieties easy to grow plus usable in teas etc -
Enjoy your retirement, plus look after you wife ;)
