The Oldies Thread

But they're yours, I'm curious as to what age you consider the generic younger generations stop beinh 'kids'? And do please recognise the context ;)

I do, but for me anyone below 35 is a kid, right or wrong. They are still getting their lives together, with or without a family, buying a house and developing a career. They still don‘t really understand politics and probably support the RS or UTD. Anyone below 21 is a child.....

Well I've been battered into submission and within the next sixty minutes I'm taking the first steps to get checked up with regards my prostate.
You can't switch on the tv or radio without hearing about the disease, with the over riding message being get yourself checked out.
I've read conflicting information on what to expect stretching from just a chat to a full on knees up to your chin and take a deep breath. So in anticipation of the latter I've had a good clear out and washed my ring piece with one of her floor cloths. So if the GP can smell Flash Bathroom after my visit that's the reason.
I'll keep you posted.

Well, I'm back home after my adventure.
Confronted by a female doctor I'd never seen before in our practice. Not a good start I thought, but not a bit of it. She was ace with everything first of all asking me what I know about the issue, then explaining what the stages are going forward. Blood test, then seeing GP with a possible digital exam if necessary then biopsy as the worst scenario. Then out of the blue she said she could do the rectal exam there and then. So it's done. The slightest of discomfort thats all. Told no sign of abnormalities just slightly enlarged. I'll take that.
So to anyone dithering wondering whether to do similar, get it done!

The thought is worse than the actual, wait until they shove a camera up there, great that is.

Sounds promising. At least this is a new base level you can measure against going forward.
