That new fangled drink, Lager had made the breakthrough on draught. Suddenly that's all we were drinking and forgot what a wholesome drink boring old mild was, and a lot cheaper.

I had a Mk3 Escort with a retractable sun roof at the time and I drove around the streets of West Hull windows down except for one at the back which had my scarf trailing and the tape on full volume.
