Let me just say this in all seriousness. You are a very good looking guy with a great personality, and smart too. If you and I were out on the lash and let's just say there's a girl we both think is fit. Let's say we wanted to do a little experiment. Neither one of us has feelings for the girl, we have nothing invested in her.
On paper, I wouldn't stand a chance. The only difference is I, 100%, believe I'm worth that girl's time and attention. You don't yet.
If I could sum up everything I know in one statement, it's this: If you don't think you are worth it, you can't expect anyone to think you are.
Like with this girl last night. It's very possible I'm not her type physically. If it turns out she's into guys with tats or likes someone shorter, or younger, or whatever, then there's not much I can do. What I know at this point is she really likes me as a person. Before last night we had literally only worked three shifts together. But I talked to her, found out a little about her, what type of person she is, what her personality is like, and showed her what I'm about. I made her laugh, showed an interest in her (not just her looks, but her), and then I took action.
Meanwhile the other guy at work, I know she made a comment about having "checked him out" when she came in for her interview. But he, instead of taking the direct approach, talked to a couple girls there and asked them to help him out. Pretty sure he said the same thing to some other guys that he's friends with based on some comments they made to her about him. Whereas I only told one other guy I was interested, and another buddy noticed I was working it a bit and asked me about it so I confirmed it to him too.
What I didn't do is ask other people to do my work for me. No girl respects that. It shows a distinct lack of confidence.
You'd also be surprised how many girls will go out with you if you simply ask. Women will give just about any guy a chance if he asks. But you only get one. After that, you gotta make her feel like it's worth her time. One date is no big deal. Two dates is.

One last thing. Every relationship, whether it's long term or short term follows this pattern:
1) Get her attention.
2) Develop rapport, which leads to comfort for her.
3) Seduction. Escalating to the physical. Getting her to think about you in sexual terms.
All of that can happen in a couple hours or a couple days or weeks or months. Depends on the situation. Personally I'd rather go quicker than slower, because time is the enemy. Like I said if she's worth it to you, chances are she is to someone else, or lot of other guys. And one of them is going to be confident and get her attention. Shouldn't that guy be you?

I'm getting better, but it's so rare I get out at the moment I'm struggling to meet girls at all. Except online and that girl in my class!
