I'd rather be accused of playing the ref than of playing the race card, but each to their own I suppose.

Who's played the race card?

Also, you'd rather be a grass on an Internet forum than someone who's concerned about inequality? Interesting.

It is still a pretty impressive stat for an evil party that supposedly only cares about the rich and hates poor people. And notice that 1986 is around when the UK economy really started booming after the malaise of the 1970s, increasing wealth for all. So it is essentially the lowest income inequality for a prosperous modern economy.

No - its the lowest that our economy has seen, in thirty years. Inequality is quite a bit higher here than in almost all other prosperous, modern economies:

Correct, but it is difficult to compare between countries, simply due to the vastly differing economic and political situations each one is in. Judging against past performance of our own economy is the most suitable option. However, at the end of the day it is all academic, because my point was that income inequality has actually been undeniably reduced, contrary to expectations, as mentioned in an earlier post.

'Playing The Ref'
Attempting to moderate the forum by stating what should, and shouldn't be discussed or attempts to get another user banned by posting things such as "abuse! ban him!" is totally unacceptable, and will not be tolerated on this forum. This is basically the internet equivalent of a footballer waving the imaginary yellow card at a referee, and is completely unhelpful. If you see a post that you believe is in violation of the forum's Rules and Guidelines or Terms of Service, it would be highly appreciated if you could use the "Report to Moderator" function to bring it to our attention.

Hopefully I'll be allowed, but it's just this kind of squabbling among members that tends to see these threads locked. We either debate things without making them personal or we don't debate them on GOT.

We're Everton fans here first and foremost. Everything else comes after.

It isn't academic, and that wasn't your point.

Eh actually it's quite easy to compare such things. Objective studies clearly show that the U.K. is one of the most unequal countries in Europe.

Stratification structure galore. This is not a criticism btw, it's an observation.

And as you were told no they are not:

The Everton Committee that took us from Anfield to Goodison were all Liberals. They split from John Houlding (a Tory and Orangeman) who tried to rob us of the name Everton FC and keep it at Anfield to call his new club (the RS) it.

Living in North Liverpool, I often see the flash, poncey, southern, Tory bellwhiffs en route to that pit the other side of the park.

So actually the dark side are a Tory club.
Fake news Friend. Everton were already an established entity, therefore tory.

Hang on. Is that not the thing we have just been told is evil? Are you saying they provided regeneration money for the city that Everton are from when, OMG this can't be true, the tory government opted for managed decline of said city instead?
The local government has to stump up at least 50% of the cost. You basically got bribed with your own money.
Cheers easy.
