- Only thanks to Michael Heseltine.

- This was almost solely because of EU funding.

- Actual LOL at that attempt at a point, I won't even dignify it with a response.
It is all factual mate. Which is what you accused me of lacking in my post. All facts.
Furthermore, whilst undoubted that the EU has funded projects in Liverpool, they didn't have any involvement in the UDC. That was a purely Tory policy.

Did Liverpool go into decline? Yes.
Did the city centre undergo a redevelopment under a Tory UDC? Yes. Would it have if Heseltine hadn't kicked off? No.
Has the economy recovered considerably since 2010? Personal debt has returned to a pre-crash high, the Coalition government borrowed £555 billion, taxes went up and the deficit is reduced, but not eliminated.

Is income equality at record lows? No.

It is at its lowest since point since 1986. Which was the point I was making. The lowest for 3 decades.

Amazing find. @WycombeToffee stopped just inches short of saying black people deserve to be shot for petty crime there.
I am happy to debate policies, but accusing me of that is just disgraceful. Look at my post on that thread and try to find me saying anything close to what you've just accused me of there. I wasn't excusing US police officers at all, and I readily admitted that most of the murders were complete injustices because they are. By all means you can insult me and what I'm saying, but don't make completely false baseless statements about me, with no supporting evidence. That isn't even political.

I didn't accuse you of anything, mate, I said you stopped short of saying something. If anything I'm complimenting your restraint.

Ahhhh, so "record breaking" now means "record breaking as long as we don't talk about 1986"?
It is still a pretty impressive stat for an evil party that supposedly only cares about the rich and hates poor people. And notice that 1986 is around when the UK economy really started booming after the malaise of the 1970s, increasing wealth for all. So it is essentially the lowest income inequality for a prosperous modern economy.

Simon Danczuk has just resigned with a fairly scathing attack on Corbyn and McDonnell. Doubt he will be missed all the same tho.
I think he makes a very valid point though about parties parachuting in otherwise unelectable muppets into safe seats. Who does it actually benefit at the end of the day?

Bang out of order there. He did nothing of the sort. I imagine the mods will pick you up on that one pal.

'Playing The Ref'
Attempting to moderate the forum by stating what should, and shouldn't be discussed or attempts to get another user banned by posting things such as "abuse! ban him!" is totally unacceptable, and will not be tolerated on this forum. This is basically the internet equivalent of a footballer waving the imaginary yellow card at a referee, and is completely unhelpful. If you see a post that you believe is in violation of the forum's Rules and Guidelines or Terms of Service, it would be highly appreciated if you could use the "Report to Moderator" function to bring it to our attention.

I'd rather be accused of playing the ref than of playing the race card, but each to their own I suppose.
