I've voted Labour all my life, and will always do so. But people like you and your attitude is the reason the media are able to dismember the Labour Party time after time after time. I did like the deliberately failed line . I’m with you lad, straight out of Fonthill Road slums, but bright enough to get to DLS. Seems to be a hatred of anyone making anything of themselves. I still live in a poor part of Liverpool but my kids should be able to retire with a good part of their life ahead of them. Did it by having to take Tebbit‘s advice unfortunately.

Cracking day for Starmer in the LP: his Gen Sec oversees the suspension of constituency parties, the alienation of the LP youth section, and pissed off the Fire Brigade Union by denying their leader the chair of the NEC.

No wonder his personal standing has plummeted in the party.

To the words of bend over relax and don't forget to swallow while looking into my eyes, or is that private education!?

Way to young to even know grammar schools they are history to me. One thing for sure it breads division, not the first time I've seen either side decend into vitriol.

Can't see why it can't be done in the same school, surely it's better to allow people to share each other experiences as early as possible.

It's ideological. They want to encourage division, and it stigmatizes the kids left to go to secondary school / comps. It's a stain on the LP that they still wont end the 11-plus.

They were proven to be batshit crazy institutions that vastly assist richer folk. Just cos it benefited a few misty eyed, working class lads doesn’t mean they should be brought back ffs.
