He was another posh get.CAGS, West Derby.
Labour voter all my life.
Your attitude reminds me EXACTLY of what Lennon sang about in 'Working class hero'...
No.McDonnell is a good man
You can call me a college pud if you wish.He was another posh get.
Always amazes me how many ex college puds defend the elitist tiering of education for kids when they also profess to be socialist.
CAGS
None of which are supported by the unions.
It'll be a game changer if the unions do disaffiliate and back a socialist party.
Unfortunatley the LP is now headlong again down the road of becoming the Tories second XI. They are a neo-liberal party and as such socialists within it such disengage and form a party to bury Labour for the rotten corpse it is.
What school was that mate?
They disaffiliated from the LP before, they know now is the best time to set up another party. Wait until Starmer bulldozes commitments made under Corbyn to increase trade union rights. There is no doubt a very good reason why the unions don't support the more radical parties, and that they probably never will.
I passed the mock exams and then intentionally failed the actual exam. It was a piece of piss, but I wanted to stay with my mates. You can call me a college pud if you wish.
I sat the 11+ exam on the day of my father's burial.
I got to CAGS on my own endeavours. Tough merde if you don't like that, I don't give a toss!
I have achieved what I have achieved through my own endeavours and intelligence (which is more than can probably be said about you and your snide ways on here).
John Lennon achieved what he did by his own endeavours and his ability. Not by where he came from, or where he lived.
Get over yourself. You are making a massive fool of yourself with your present posts...
Sign of thickness right there!I passed the mock exams and then intentionally failed the actual exam. It was a piece of piss, but I wanted to stay with my mates.
I didn't need some self-important 'academic' institution to provide me with knowledge. My Comp provided me with the basics for that.
John Lennon, btw, was a pampered cry baby with a massive Oedipus complex. He was a great song writer and performer, but that had nothing to do with any school he went to.

How am I beeing hypocritical? You are the one supporting a an elitist stratification of education.Sign of thickness right there!
Boy, you ARE a real working class hero!!! Lennon was right - a real hypocrite you are...
Ha Ha. I bet there's loads of ex-grammar school boys on here...I bet they all remember the school anthem too. lol
Ha Ha. Didn't know that about Mann. He gives the impression he'd worked 12 hour shifts down the pit and knows what's what in his bluff 'working class' response to everything.
Posh boy, though. Ha Ha Ha. Brilliant. I never liked anyone who came through a grammar school. I'm sure there's some who are ok, but to go there speaks volumes about them and their families.
* I stand by for comments about grammar school education and those who attended.![]()
Nothing wrong with having a fondness for your old school. Neither should that preclude condemning the stratification of education. In fairness I went to grammar school, so your comments are a bit harsh, but I'm sure I speak on behalf of most on here in saying very fair!
We didn't have an anthem though, I think land of hope and glory used to cover for that.
