The conservatives were voted in to serve a five year term. Why would they not serve it ?. Just because Corbyn seeks power is no reason why the tories should pander to him. He can wait the full term and we will see how Brexit and the economy turns out.....
As much as I hate it I agree with you and I want them out, trouble is the alternative is scary as hell.

The likely defeat would be catastrophic and keep the Tories out for a a couple of terms if they prolong the wait for a GE.

That depends on how Labour get on in the meantime too. Thing is they haven't listened to the adage of under promise and over deliver. They have made a rod for their own back if the status quo pretty much remains or the deficit opens up like Moses with the red sea.

Because to govern you need stability. The government will face rebellion form one faction or another of their own party and find it impossible to get anything done. The Brexit deal will finish this government either way. Getting power is merely the delivery system for getting policy through. Why bother if you cant? The likely defeat would be catastrophic and keep the Tories out for a a couple of terms if they prolong the wait for a GE. Get a Brexit deal and then call an election would probably see them lose that election but not sink them for a generation.

This cant last until 2022. I think we all know that much.

I would be astounded if an election was called. The tories may be fighting over the EU but there is no way they will let Corbyn take control......

Dunno about that Pete. Wouldnt take many Leaver or Joiner Tory MPs to vote with Labour in a No Confidence motion to shift May, both sides thinking their man or woman would be a better leader in a snap GE.

You think he'd win it then??

Actually, no......he got away with his unfunded promises once because the Tory chancellor did sod all, May made so many mistakes on the back of taking the vote for granted, it wouldn’t happen again. In any case I don’t believe that May will be allowed to lead the party into another election.......

i think the result would be very similar(to the last election) so pointless..

There would be no reason for any Tory, Remain or leaver, to want to bring the government down in a no confidence motion. They can always ditch May whenever they want, without going to the country.....

If the tories did get rid of may, the alternatives are frightening...Johnson ,Reesmogg , Gove etc?? If that happens its the end of compassionate government in this country once and for all....a GE with a Labour majority is what is needed imo. Get rid of this corrosive divide and conquer and I'm alright Jack, feck the rest of you attitude which is the tories' default position as always.

I honestly dont see what they promised that's undeliverable. If it isn't then it'll have a lot to do with remaining in the EU where the rules would forbid certain economic promises that block the market from entering.

And do what? Wave the magic wand that buries all the faction fighting that would make governing possible for another 4 years? Nonsense....as is any notion the Tories can simply change leaders from one muppet who faced the electorate and was rejected to another muppet who hasn't even asked them to give them a parliamentary majority.

This government right now is a zombie government. Imagine that staggering around wailing for another four years?!

Impossible. 2022 is not going to be the date of the next election. The Brexit deal will get done then it's all about calling the next election at the right time in the short term. Nothing surer than that.

Nice to see you do have an optimistic side! :) It is quite a big manifesto to plough through. However if they do get in hopefully they can do it all and without plunging the country into enormous debt. I would be more than annoyed if they ended up kicking the can down the road so we just end up with Austerity 2: The Revenge.
